HMRI is seeking a professional Clinical Trials Assistant with strong attention to detail to join our team.
HMRI is a world leading translational medical research institute, working in partnership with the University of Newcastle, Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) and the community to improve health outcomes in our region and beyond.
The HMRI Clinical Trials Support Unit (CTU) is a new initiative established to provide support for grant applications along with expertise and capacity for initiating, running and analysing studies/randomised controlled trials. The CTU will facilitate the approval process for clinical studies and trials and related translational research, in particular ensuring that approval processes (ethical, R&D, pathology services, intellectual property etc) work synergistically in a way that supports clinical trial research.
The primary focus of the Clinical Trials Assistant is to support the activities of a clinical trial or several clinical trials, providing administration and data entry support to clinical trial projects, managers and staff. This includes supporting the team in:
- Clinical trial administration;
- Implementing ethics and regulatory requirements;
- Collection, cleaning, recording and reporting of trial data; and
- Monitoring and audit activities with the trials.
This is a full-time role offered on a fixed-term three year contract. Your remuneration for this position will consist of a competitive salary which will be based on skills and experience including the salary packaging benefits available to all HMRI staff.
