The HMRI Diabetes Public Seminar looks at Hunter research into both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. The community will have the opportunity to ask their questions about diabetes and its impact on families, with insights from two of Australia’s leading researchers.

Dr Bruce King will discuss the latest progress in treating and managing Type 1 diabetes, including the development of an ‘artificial pancreas’.

Professor Robin Callister will talk about the important research and proven strategies to help prevent Type 2 diabetes in the community.

Food: Sandwiches will be provided for a gold coin donation.

Tea/coffee along with biscuits will also be provided.
