
Should we only count randomized controlled trials for clinical Practice guidelines?
A 30-minute (somewhat EBM-critical) talk on which studies should influence guidelines, based on Lindholm’s experience having chaired two large working groups on Hypertension (1991-94 and 2001-04) for the Swedish state.

MD (1970), specialist in General Medicine (1975) and Public Health (1986). PhD (1984). Professor at Umeå University, Sweden (1998-) and Awarded the Umeå University Medal for Merit and Excellence (2013). Prof. Lindholm has Published more than 200 original papers in high ranking journals resulting in >17,000 citations (Web of Science). Prof Lindholm is senior advisor at the Lancet peer review meetings (2003-) and was guest editor of The Lancet’s Hypertension Issue, (2012).
