Each year at the HMRI Awards Night, we recognise three outstanding researchers. Join us at our Researcher Showcase Evening on 30 May 2018, where you will have the unique opportunity to hear from each of our 2017 Researchers of the Year.
- Distinguished dietitian Professor Clare Collins is the 2017 HMRI Researcher of the Year. Clare is a leader in nutritional health research as well as a paediatric dietitian at the John Hunter Children’s Hospital.
- Physical activity pioneer Professor David Lubans is the 2017 HMRI Mid-Career Researcher of the Year. David is helping young people be more active, more often.
- Long-serving GP, Associate Professor Gillian Gould is the 2017 HMRI Early Career Researcher of the Year. Gillian has gravitated towards Indigenous health research with a focus on smoking cessation.
Excitingly...the 2018 HMRI Art Series, which celebrates Professor Clare Collins’ work and painted by the talented Leda Turner, will also be unveiled. Leda will share with us the inspiration for her artwork.
