This 2-day event will stream live from Facebook & YouTube. Anyone can join in with the presentation sessions, and ask questions, without registering.

The Program
Join us for an online morning tea and conversations, hosted by City of Newcastle's Lord Mayor Nuatali Nelmes, with the team at the Stroke Research Register (Hunter).
Discuss time-and-brain saving treatments for stroke, and research on the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on stroke care in Australia. People living with stroke and their supporters will talk about getting to work again, (re-)building a career after you’ve had a stroke, inclusion and access in the workplace. This session is also supported also by the City of Newcastle, the Stroke Foundation, and the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health.

Researchers, health professionals, people living with stroke and those who care about them will all get something out of this afternoon research showcase. There will be short talks as well as opportunities to ‘speed-date a researcher’, find a research trial, and chat with a research team.
