With over 30 years’ experience in Energy, Infrastructure and Finance, Michelle has developed extensive skills as a professional who works across different cultures to bring people together for a common purpose. She has a passion for authentic leadership and diversity.

Michelle has more than a decade of practicing Executive Director and Committee Chair experience. Her areas of specialist expertise span from advising on high level financial related matters through to ensuring ESG, risk management & compliance at Board level, strategy planning and execution, as well as, she has managed / facilitated several joint ventures projects. With a chartered accounting background, she is able to form deep financial insights to multi-billion-dollar business operations and use such information to lead various areas of an organisation in developing and executing impactful strategies to consistently boost business performance and profitability.


In 2015 Michelle was awarded NSW Women in Mining winner for Gender Diversity Champion, finalist in the Women in Resources National Awards and acknowledged as one of the 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining 2016. In February 2018 she carried the Queen’s Baton at the XXI Commonwealth Games in recognition of her community contributions and in 2020 was part of the team that received the NSW Women in Mining award for Excellence in Diversity Programs and Performance for their WIMnet NSW Mentoring Program. Recently, Michelle was also acknowledged as an internationally award-winning artist with her Abstracts with Blue submission “Gift of Dreams” and had works exhibited by a New York gallery, which included billboard advertising in Times Square!


Michelle has a Bachelor of Commerce from James Cook University, is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and AusIMM – The Minerals Institute, Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Justice of the Peace in NSW.
