Considerable evidence exists supporting the health benefits of youth engaging in regular physical activity yet physical inactivity in adolescence remains widespread.

A new way of exercising known as high intensity interval training is promising to be an effective approach to exercise.  This study will test whether 30 seconds of high intensity exercise followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated for seven minutes can improve the cardio- respiratory fitness and psycho-social of year 10 students.
