However, when they recur they can become aggressive and difficult to treat. This project will use next generation molecular sequencing technologies to identify the genes and pathways altered between matched initial and recurrent brain tumour specimens. Knowledge of these changes will identify better ways to monitor patients, uncover the new genetic pathways driving the behaviour of recurrent tumours, and discover potential new therapeutic strategies.
