The role has a district-wide focus and supports the patient from diagnosis through treatment, to discharge or terminal care. The role has a resonsibility for the coordination and transitioning of care for rural patients who require care in a metropolitan centre. As a lead clincian in a clinical services team, the role provides a key point of contact to support the delivery of excellent patient/client care to patients diagnosed with brain cancer. The position will also activiely participate in clinical research including bio banking, clinical trials, evaluation of clinical interventions and translation of research findings into clinical practice.
