Bone metastases of prostate cancer are particularly painful and there are no relieving treatments.

The research team has found that pro nerve growth factor is produced by prostate cancer cells and will now perform the pre-clinical studies needed to test pro nerve growth factor as a new biomarker for the diagnosis, prognosis and therapeutic target of prostate cancer.
