The Resilient Brain Initiative through HMRI and the University of Newcastle aims to identify new treatments to slow, stop or reverse declines in brain function caused by stress.

Our group utilises preclinical models of psychological and physical stressors including changes in sleep patterns, diet, infection, addiction and stimuli that evoke anxiety and depression-like behaviour. We then assess the effects of these stressors on behaviour and specific parts of the brain.
