Conjoint A/Prof Martin Cohen completed his training in medicine at The University of Sydney in 1996 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2002. Martin was a senior staff specialist and Director of Specialist Training, in 2012 he was appointed as an Executive Director for Hunter New England Health, subsequently leaving that role for the corporate sector, but remain committed to serving the District and he now sits on the District Health Board. He is Deputy Commissioner for the New South Wales Mental Health Commission, joint Managing Director of Ascelpius Health, Senior Consulting Psychiatrist at Procare and a Conjoint Associate Professor at the University of Newcastle. He has over 15 years research experience in the fields of medical education, neuroimaging, epidemiological, and clinical research.
