Scaffolding surrounding the central pod has been removed, revealing the façade in all its architectural glory.
Inside, meanwhile, there has been rapid progress on the plasterboard front, with levels 1 and 2 the most advanced. Vinyl flooring is also being laid in some laboratory areas.
HMRI Facility Manager Graham Gunner says air conditioning, electrical, gas, hydraulic and fire systems are progressing well.
The building is on track for an April 2012 completion.
HMRI would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and live, the Awabakal and Worimi peoples, and pay our respects to Elders past and present. We recognise and respect their cultural heritage and beliefs and their continued connection to their land.
