HMRI welcomes two new Community Directors to the Board

HMRI is delighted to announce the appointment of Donna-Maree Vinci and Claire Robbs to the Board.

Donna-Maree and Claire will replace Kirsten Mulley who stepped down at the end of 2023 after seven years of service on the Board and an association that spans back to establishment of the HMRI fundraising group PULSE in 1999.

HMRI Board Chairman Kyle Loades says, “We are excited to welcome these outstanding women to the HMRI Board. They bring a wealth of knowledge of Corporate Governance and Management, as well as local and national relationships with Government, Not-For-Profits, Charities, Finance, Social Services and Tech industries. Beyond their professional credentials, their warmth, energy and ‘fresh eyes’ will be a huge asset to the Board. I would also like to take this opportunity to wholeheartedly thank Kirsten Mulley for her service. Her input has been invaluable and has helped set us up for a very strong future.”

Donna-Maree is currently a Non-Executive Director with NGM Group, Hunter Water Corporation, and Capricorn Society, and has Board, Strategic Advisory and C-suite experience in Finance, Tech and Education.

She is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and has an Environment, Social and Governance Leadership Graduate Certificate.

Donna says, “Giving back to the local community is really important to me so I’m really excited about joining HMRI and being involved in something so life changing. Ever since I started working as a board director in 2019, I’ve been looking for purpose-led opportunities in the medical space, especially those supporting researchers dedicated to finding treatments and cures for conditions such as MS, among many others.”

Claire is currently Chief Executive of Life Without Barriers, is the Deputy Chair of Community Council of Australia, a cofounder of Alliance20, founder of the Allies for Children, and has significant Board and Strategic Advisory experience.

Claire has an Executive Masters in Business Administration, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and Social Policy.

Claire says, “I am excited to join an organisation with such a strong reputation in serving its community. The integrity and drive of the Board, leadership and employees to continue HRMI’s founding purpose is commendable. As a Board member I look forward to supporting our organisation to bring value to the many diverse members of our community including people with disability, older Australians and Listening to and responding to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.”
