Help us find the right type of asthma medication for you. Researchers are looking for volunteers with asthma to participate in a study looking at how diet affects asthma medications.

Why is the research being done?

Certain types of food have been shown to cause inflammation in the body. This inflammation may reach the lungs and contribute to asthma symptoms. Our previous studies have shown that different types of food affect the relief given by Ventolin. This research study is designed to examine how different types of food affect different types of asthma medications.

Who can participate in the research?

Researchers are looking for non-smokers with asthma.

What does this study involve?

The research study involves 4 visits to the HMRI clinic where participants will be fed a different meal each time and undertake a number of routine clinical tests.

Prior to starting, potential participants will be assessed for suitability over the phone and then with a visit at the HMRI clinic.
