Conjoint Associate Professor Robert L Eisenberg has extensive experience over a broad spectrum of surgical interests ranging from hearing and skull base surgery to thyroid and parathyroid surgery, rhinoplasty and head and neck cancer reconstruction.

He has been instrumental in establishing the microvascular Head and Neck reconstructive unit, decentralising surgical services to the Hunter-New England region and developing the Newcastle Head and Neck multidisciplinary team and clinic.

He instigated the HANCS Club (Head and Neck cancer Social Club) and chairs the HNE Skull Base Tumour Board and the Subcommittee for Indigenous Outreach of ASOHNS/RACS.

He is the Discipline lead for Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, at the University of Newcastle, and he supervises Temporal Bone Laboratory dissection.

He collaborates closely with academics researching hearing loss, dementia, balance disorders and implants.

Extensive publication in clinical and translational research around ENT and head and neck surgery.

Teacher and mentor to a generation of ENT-Head and Neck surgeons and Newcastle medical students.

Founder of Vote Earth Now, a project to enable community level participatory democracy for action on climate change and political accountability.
