Dr Stephanie Lithgow has a background as a speech pathologist with interests in aged care and neurological conditions.

She has worked in Australia and the United Kingdom, specialising in adult cognitive impairment. She expanded her experience providing care service coordination and case management to adults in the community aged care sector and working with people with dementia and their caregivers.

Stephanie’s interest in dementia care led her to complete a PhD examining older women’s experiences of elder abuse and impacts of dementia in this context.

Her current research interests include multiple aspects of women’s health equity and use of computational linguistics to maximise qualitative research outputs from women’s free-text comments.
