Dr Jennifer White is a senior researcher and occupational therapist with over 20 years’ experience working across community, hospital and aged care settings.
Dr White completed her PhD in 2014. She has extensive experience undertaking mixed methods, longitudinal research to formulate, implement and evaluate health programs. She is currently a Research Fellow with the University of Newcastle working in public health.
Jennifer’s research has significantly contributed to aged care, particularly in stroke and cancer, with a focus on psychological morbidity and the benefits of interventions that improve mood, functioning, and quality of life. Her work also addresses improvements in health and aged care systems.
In addition to supervising the completion of 4 PhD students, Dr White currently supervises 2 PhD candidates and has guided 15 honors research students to successful completion. She also has extensive experience in providing qualitative research and analysis education through the University of Newcastle, Monash University, and the National Ageing Research Institute.
