Today’s research is tomorrow’s transplant practice

Our transplant research team is currently exploring ways to:

better detect transplant tolerance in recipients
improve the diagnosis and treatment of antibody-mediated rejection
apply the genome-related technologies of systems biology to the clinic
define risk factors and better understand how cancer can develop in transplant recipients
minimise ischaemia-reperfusion or reoxygenation injuries which all transplanted organs suffer

HTRF supports advanced trainee physicians, surgeons and post-doctoral scientists in transplantation. The Centre also collaborates with other regional and international transplant researchers to help improve the levels of clinical practice.
