Dr Nightingale believes an internet-based intervention may be particularly suited for younger populations who are well accustomed to electronic forms of communication, with the advantage of consistency, cost-efficiency and easy accessibility. Following a systematic review of existing electronic-based interventions, Dr Nightingale aims to develop a unique prototype for to trial in children diagnosed with functional abdominal pain at the John Hunter Children’s Hospital.
