The project aims to reduce the number of disadvantaged adolescents across the Hunter New England region from taking up smoking and using alcohol and illict drugs.

To achieve this, a comprehensive program designed to increase the mental and well-being of adolescents will be implemented in 24 high schools across the region. Funds have been obtained from the NHMRC to evaluate the delivery of this program in 12 high schools. Funding from the nib Foundation will enable the number of high schools and students to receive the program to be doubled, and will strenghten the delivery of the program
