Cardiac catheterisation and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) are commonly performed procedures to investigate and manage cardiac disease.

This study is a nursing-led examination of post procedural care for cardiac surgery patients, and will use ultrasound to determine if patients undergoing cardiac catheterisation have any major or minor complications. The project will contribute to our understanding of how high risk patients might be identified and how the rate of radial artery occlusion might be reduced.
