Nutritional intake and knowledge in pregnant and recently pregnant women.

Nutritional intake and knowledge in pregnant and recently pregnant women.

Researchers from HMRI’s Food and Nutrition Research Program are conducting an online questionnaire in pregnant and recently pregnant women, about their food and nutrient intake and nutrition knowledge.

Healthy eating during pregnancy is important to reduce the risk of adverse health outcomes for the mother and the baby, but understanding what to eat and drink while pregnant can be confusing.
By finding out what pregnant women are eating and what they understand or are confused about, researchers can develop nutrition resources that may help pregnant women eat more healthily and improve their health and the health of their babies.

Researchers are inviting women who:

  • are aged 19 years or above;
  • are pregnant or have given birth in the last 12 months,
  • were born and live in Australia

Participants will be asked to complete one secure, online questionnaire that takes approx. 45 minutes. The questionnaire asks about food intake and general nutrition.

As a gesture of appreciation from the researchers, participants who complete the questionnaire will be able to go into the draw to win one of three Woolworths eGift cards valued at $100 by providing their first name and email address.
