Conjoint Professor Peter Greer completed his MSc in medical physics in New Zealand and his PhD at the University of Adelaide, Australia.

He has worked as a radiation oncology medical physicist in New Zealand, Canada and Australia. He has supervised 22 PhD students, published 215 peer-reviewed articles and been chief investigator on $20M in grant funding.

Professor Greer is currently the Chief Medical Physicist at the Calvary Mater Newcastle Hospital, supervising 20 staff members. His major areas of research and development interest are treatment verification and MRI in radiation therapy.
