Professor Stephen Smith is a colorectal surgeon with an interest in improving perioperative and colorectal cancer outcomes.
He has completed a PhD in Enhancing Recovery after Surgery, an MPhil on Surgical Site Infection and an MS on rectal prolapse outcomes.
Professor Smith has led over 15 randomised clinical trials with outcomes that have resulted in world wide changes in surgical practice and have achieved over $11 million in competitive grant funding.
