Ben Moran is a dual-qualified specialist in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia at Gosford Hospital, NSW, Australia.

His clinical interests include long-term outcomes of critically ill patients, acute pain and sedation management in the ICU, perioperative management of high-risk patients, high-risk anaesthesia and paediatric anaesthesia. Ben is also a consumer representative for paediatric and adult intensive care projects and studies.

Ben is currently completing a PhD investigating the incidence, risk factors and impact of chronic pain in survivors of intensive care, using causal inference methodology.

Other research interests include analgesia, sedation and delirium management in the ICU, long-term physical and neuropsychological outcomes of critical illness, statistical methodology in observational trials, Bayesian inference.
