Research Programs

Dr Jack Carlson is passionate about trauma systems and innovative approaches to treating polytrauma patients.

In 2021, Jack graduated with first-class honours and received the University Medal from Western Sydney University. Subsequently, he completed his Master of Surgery at the University of Sydney.

During his education, he engaged in diverse research areas such as lumbar spinal surgery, artificial anterior cruciate ligament repair, cataract molecular pathogenesis, and the impact of COVID-19 on mental health.

Currently, Jack is investigating the unknown natural history of pulmonary artery thrombosis in polytrauma patients.
