Renate Thienel holds a Masters in Psychology and is an Institute certified eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) therapist.

She earned a PhD in Science and is passionate about translating scientific findings into practical treatment applications.

Renate’s expertise spans a wide range of mental health issues including schizophrenia, borderline personality disorders, trauma-related presentations, and neurodegenerative disorders such as dementia.

Currently, she coordinates clinical trials on dementia at HMRI.
