Did you know you can donate shares instead of cash?
ShareGift Australia is a not-for-profit organisation that provides you with an easy and tax effective way to sell your shares and donate the proceeds to charity. You don’t have to engage a stockbroker, there are no brokerage fees and if the value of your donation exceeds $50, you can nominate HMRI as your recommended charity to benefit from ShareGift Australia’s donations.
How to Donate
Simply complete the Share Sale Donation Form on the ShareGift Australia website and remember to recommend the Hunter Medical Research Institute. All donations of $2 and over are tax-deductible.
How ShareGift makes Donations to Charities
Each quarter, ShareGift Australia makes donations to eligible charities guided by the recommendations received from donors.
Donations are pooled which enables ShareGift Australia to round up the donations they make to each charity. To date, all eligible charities nominated have received donations from ShareGift Australia greater than the amount recommended.
