Dr Kelly McNamara is a clinician scientist and obstetrician gynaecologist at the Central Coast Research Institute, University of Newcastle.

Dr McNamara has a particular interest in the reproductive health and pregnancy care for women with psychosocial complexities, including those with substance use disorder. Her PhD examined the intersection between unplanned pregnancy and substance use disorder, and tested pathways to improve access to contraception. Her ongoing work examines maternal heath and care pathways for women with psychosocial complexities.
