Dr Oun Al-iedani is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Newcastle College of Health, Medicine and Wellbeing, and the Hunter Medical Research Institute Imaging Centre.
He received his PhD from the School of Health Sciences at the University of Newcastle in 2020. His PhD thesis focused on designing and implementing a novel FAST Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopic Imaging (MRSI) technique and multi-voxel segmentation method to map the neurometabolic profiles of people with Multiple Sclerosis and healthy controls.
As a member of both the MS team at HMRI and the Mark Hughes Foundation Centre for Brain Cancer Research, Dr Al-iedani utilises advanced MRI techniques to improve the outcomes of communities in the Hunter region.
His expertise spans multiple MRI techniques, including diffusion, spectroscopic, metabolic and susceptibility-weighted MRI.
