Professor Ulrich Schall completed his Masters Degree in Psychology at the Ruhr-University in Bochum and Medical School at the University of Essen. He graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy in Natural Science at the University of Constance in 1988, a Doctor of Medicine in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Essen in 1993, and a Doctor of Science (Habilitation) in Biological Psychology and Neuropsychology at the Ruhr-University in Bochum in 2000.

He has published 274 papers and has been cited 24,461 times, giving him an H-index of 56 (Source: ResearchGate). Professor Schall joined the University of Newcastle in 1999 and retired in 2022. He also worked as a Staff Specialist in the public system until retiring from his academic position.

He continues his research with the HMRI Healthy Minds Research Program and is based at Educare Specialist Services in Charlestown.
