Has published a series of technical reports and systematic reviews for WHO; and the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization and serves on WHO guideline development and technical consultation groups
Interventions he has developed to reduce population chronic disease risks have been implemented nationally, including nutrition and physical activity promotion, and obesity and alcohol prevention programs in schools, childcare services and sporting clubs

Professor Luke Wolfenden is an NHMRC Investigator grant holder, Professor, and international leader in implementation and behavioural science.
Professor Wolfenden is passionate about the use of evidence in public to improve decision making and ensuring that evidence-based policies are well implemented so they can benefit those for whom they are intended. He has particular expertise in the conduct of trials and evidence synthesis to identify effective health interventions, and to test strategies to best implement them. In particular he is currently focusing on the use of learning health systems to generate evidence and rapidly optimise the impacts of chronic disease prevention programs.
He has expertise across a range of disciplines including public health, implementation science and knowledge translation; and skills in a range of applied methods including evidence synthesis; research trial design; and epidemiology.
