Research Programs

Evaluating the implementation of a liver fibrosis detection pathway in primary care settings across multiple states to support early detection of liver disease and cancer
Awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Leukaemia Foundation to investigate the impact of treatment centre environments on the psychosocial wellbeing of blood cancer patients
Collaborating with international partners to develop a tool to assess city-level cancer research translation capacity in low- and middle-income countries

Dr Tara Clinton-McHarg is an implementation scientist with experience across multiple areas of cancer and chronic disease research including prevention, screening, psycho-oncology, and patient-centred care. She has conducted state and national level research trials, including implementation-effectiveness trials, to increase best practice prevention and care in both clinical and community settings. Tara has partnered with leading organisations such as Cancer Council Victoria, Cancer Council NSW, Flourish Australia and City Cancer Challenge to deliver stakeholder driven health service interventions.
