Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) is looking for people whose lives have been affected by dementia to join a new community advisory group.
As a member, you’ll help:
- Provide feedback on dementia research ideas and projects.
- Share your perspectives and experiences related to dementia.
- Help create dementia-friendly resources.
- Shape community education, engagement and awareness activities.
We welcome expressions of interest from people who:
- Live with dementia or
- Care for, or have cared for, someone living with dementia or
- Have experience supporting people impacted by dementia through personal connections, community groups or activities

The group will meet between November 2026 and June 2027, with a mix of meetings, workshops and other opportunities to shape projects and resources.
- Membership open to people from the Hunter New England region (NSW)
- Approximately 10-14 hours involvement
- Flexible participation options
- Members will be paid for their time
