Greater Charitable Foundation have provided over $350,000 for three years to trial an anti-fatigue drug to help stroke survivors living with fatigue find much-needed relief from symptoms.
In 2019, 56,000 Australians will suffer a stroke. 65% of stroke survivors suffer a disability. Fatigue is the most common post-stroke problem. To combat this, the Greater Charitable Foundation have provided Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) with over $350,000 for three years to trial an anti-fatigue drug, to help stroke survivors living with fatigue find much-needed relief from symptoms.
HMRI would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and live, the Awabakal and Worimi peoples, and pay our respects to Elders past and present. We recognise and respect their cultural heritage and beliefs and their continued connection to their land.
