Conjoint Associate Professor John Stuart is a retired paediatrician who continues to have an interest in Paediatric research into otitis media.

In 1972 he was one of the first researchers to document the prevalence of otitis media in an indigenous primary school in Queensland. Numerous publications since then have helped to further delineate the problem.
