Dr Alexandra Brown is an mid-career researcher and respiratory immunologist at The University of Newcastle and the Immune Health Research Program at the Hunter Medical Research Institute.

Dr Brown’s research focuses on investigating high burden respiratory diseases such as asthma, occupational lung disease and COPD. They aim to create a greater understanding of the metabolic changes driven by obesity and respiratory infections on the development and progression of disease in order to discover novel therapeutic targets.
