Dr Alison Zucca is an early career researcher working as a Senior Research Officer within the School of Medicine and Public Health at the University of Newcastle.

Previously, Dr Zucca specialised in the evaluation of patient-centred cancer care, quality of care, psycho-oncology, and the patient experience. In 2024, Dr Zucca joined the HMRI Population Health Research Program, National Centre for Implementation Science (NCOIS), where her research focus shifted from clinical populations to population-based preventive care and public health. She is embedded within a team whose research efforts focus on the scale-up and long-term sustainability of evidence-based public health programs and policies.
