Dr Lauren Schooth is a postdoctoral researcher in the Gastrointestinal Research Group at the University of Newcastle and HMRI. Her recently completed PhD looked at the role of the duodenal mucosa-associated microbiota in subjects with and without a disorder of gut-brain interaction (DGBI), and microbiology, immune health and DGBI remain key research interests in ongoing work.
