Dr Matt Mason is a Radiation Oncologist at GenesisCare, Lake Macquarie Private Hospital and GenesisCare, East Maitland.

He works with referrers to deliver optimal evidence-based care for patients with Head and Neck, Urological, Cutaneous and Breast malignancies. He is a founder member of Konara Cancer Care, a private dedicated head and neck multidisciplinary clinic.

Dr Mason is a Councillor for the Faculty or Radiation Oncology, Royal Australian and New Zealand College or Radiologists and a Committee Member on the International Medical Graduates Committee for the College.

During 2022-2023, he was on the organising committee for the Australian and New Zealand Head & Neck Cancer Society conference, held in the Hunter Valley, NSW.

Dr Mason’s current research is based on the development of a support system for patients receiving treatment for head and neck cancer.
