Dr Natalie Enninghorst is discipline representative for year 5 MD, Deputy Convener of the Master of Traumatology, School of Medicine and Public health, Faculty of Health and Medicine at the University of Newcastle. Her current appointment allows focus on trauma research and teaching in surgery at both a postgraduate and undergraduate level.

She has worked extensively as a Trauma surgeon in both Australia and Germany. Her clinical work focused on the care of the most complex trauma patients including their early treatment and longer-term recovery.

Dr Enninghorst is an accomplished researcher with many publications. Her current research is focused on understanding the body’s response to trauma and stress and how this affects recovery after trauma as well as orthopaedic trauma.
