PhD Candidate, University of Newcastle

Research Programs

Carly is a PhD candidate focused on sustaining chronic disease prevention programs across school and community settings. As a researcher embedded within a public health unit, she explores implementation strategies to support equitable and lasting improvements in population health. Her work is grounded in a strong commitment to translating evidence-based practices into real-world outcomes.

Before entering academia, Carly spent over a decade coordinating social support programs. She worked alongside older adults, women who have experienced violence, and vulnerable families, helping to build meaningful support systems that enhanced their well-being and resilience.
