Felicity Collis is a proud Gomeroi woman from North West NSW, social worker and Indigenous public health researcher. Her research focusses on supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities to lead and direct their own research agendas. As an emerging leader in her field, she has worked across areas of research ethics and ethical conduct, knowledge translation approaches and tobacco control on a local, national and international scale. She currently leads a state-wide rollout of a smoking and vaping cessation group-based model for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women. Grounded in community knowledge authority, Indigenous ethics, and responsibility, Felicity ensures her research meaningfully upholds sovereignty and self-determination to safeguard culturally safe and healthy futures for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
