Dr Lisa Urquhart is an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian and researcher based at the University of Newcastle Department of Rural Health in Coffs Harbour. Her research focuses on rural health workforce development, nutrition and dietetics education, and community-engaged approaches that strengthen equitable access to health care in rural and regional communities.

Dr Urquhart’s work explores innovative models of rural health training, health needs within underserved communities, including First Nations communities, and strategies to support a sustainable rural health workforce and improve health equity.
