Dr Tegan Grace is a postdoctoral researcher in the Reproductive and Family Health Research Program at HMRI, the Study Manager of the NEW1000 Pregnancy Cohort Study and the Co-Deputy Director of the Mothers and Babies Research Centre at the University of Newcastle. She has worked closely with families from Newcastle and the Hunter to develop research priorities for the NEW1000 Study and is Chair of the Healthcare Consumer Committee. Dr Grace is dedicated to continued engagement with community to ensure research is relevant and participant focused. She has worked in health research for over ten years and has extensive experience with large longitudinal pregnancy cohorts.
Dr Grace’s research focuses on the impacts of maternal gestational health, breastfeeding and early neonatal events on longitudinal child development outcomes. Dr Grace is a member of the Australasian Longitudinal Leadership Forum (ALLF), Health in Preconception, Pregnancy and Postpartum (HiPPP) EMCR Collaborative and the Hunter Medical Research Institute Research Impact Community of Practice.
