Professor Karen Charlton is a public health nutritionist and research dietitian with over 30 years’ experience in research to improve health of populations through dietary and lifestyle interventions.
She conducts clinical trials into the effects of bioactive compounds in plant foods, in older adults with memory complaints and dementia. She also conducts Participatory Action Research to transform food systems to be more equitable, healthy and sustainable.
