Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI) was founded in 1998 with a mission to advance medical research and improve healthcare outcomes for our community.

From the very beginning, we’ve been committed to enhancing the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities through groundbreaking research, collaboration, and the practical application of scientific discoveries in real-world healthcare settings.

With our 2023+ Strategy, we’re actively preparing for a future that is mindful and responsive to emerging trends, advances, and shifts in the environment.
